Jungle Warfare 

Jungle Warfare - Japan realised the need for preparation and set up The Taiwan Army Research Section in January 1941 to be ready for an attack on Malaya.

General Yamishita 

General Yamishita - He was given the appointment of commanding the Twenty-fifth Army in the invasion of Malaya and Singapore.

Maps 

Maps - It was thought the Japanese had very crude maps, this has now been proved wrong.
